Probably it's the most famous village of all the Val d'Orcia, the Renaissance Old Centre has been declared as World Heritage Site from UNESCO. Much of the historical-artistic patrimony of Pienza is concentrated in the picturesque square dedicated to Pope Pius II, personality that has given so much to the town, trying to make her his ideal Renaissance city.
San Quirico d'Orcia is a town in the province of Siena, whose strategic importance exerted by the Via Francigena that crossed it made him very powerful in the Middle Ages. Rocca di Tentennano
