Pienza

Probably it's the most famous village of all the Val d'Orcia, the Renaissance Old Centre has been declared as World Heritage Site from UNESCO. Much of the historical-artistic patrimony of Pienza is concentrated in the picturesque square dedicated to Pope Pius II, personality that has given so much to the town, trying to make her his ideal Renaissance city.

San Quirico

San Quirico d'Orcia is a town in the province of Siena, whose strategic importance exerted by the Via Francigena that crossed it made him very powerful in the Middle Ages. It was recognized as UNESCO's World Heritage Site, for the excellent state of preservation of the landscape and as a product of an intelligent work of human activity, which had a strong influence on many artists of the Renaissance.

Rocca di Tentennano

The origins of the fortress are almost certainly of Etruscan, the same name of "Tentennano" could derive from the Etruscan "Tinia", Jupiter, the father of the gods. Inside the city walls there are three tiny "terzieri": the Rocca, the Rocchetta and Rocchettina. From the fortress you can enjoy a panorama of the Val d'Orcia, from Pienza to Bagno Vignoni.

Montepulciano

The special position between Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia has marked the history of the city of Montepulciano. The landscape is characterized by olive groves and vineyards, from chalky hills and cypresses that shape the landscape vertically. Montepulciano is world famous for its excellent vineyards of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and for the historical race "Bravio delle Botti".

Montalcino

To the south of Siena is located a charming medieval town, surrounded by mighty walls and dominated by an ancient castle. Montalcino, in the west of Pienza, is a beautiful historic town nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Natural Park of Val d'Orcia and renowned throughout the world for its extraordinary production of the precious Brunello di Montalcino.

Monticchiello

Monticchiello is located on a hill surrounded by Siena countryside, in the municipality of Pienza. The particular beauty of the countryside, lovely urban areas surrounded by beautiful scenery, secluded from the main means of communication, the parish church of Saints Leonard and Christopher of Romanesque-Gothic style give the feeling of being in the heart of Tuscany.
